Typed Book of Shadows?
I just want to get everyone's opinion on typing out your book of shadows then printing it off. That is what I'm trying this time around. Some people say it's not as good cause you aren't putting your energies into it like when writing. i think otherwise, I'm still putting my energy into it, just with my fingers hitting keys rather than using a pen. I like this method cause I don't have a neat hand and I want my BoS to look nice. So spill, tell me your opinions.

i agree this is from someone who has several bos's typed, printed, on cd (recorded me speaking it lol) on floppy disk and hand written they all carry my energies and i use them all and there effective currently im working on one im makeing it look like an aged tome so far it looks great and ive put my energies in that as well

I have also a typed BOS, but I have also some hand print BOS, I know that we can put our energies into it, besides its really nice to look at it when you read and see some of your creativity in making your BOS. Walk with light & love...

I don't know anything, but I would think that you would still be putting the same energy into it. I'm mean you're still thinking the same, you're using ink and you're still using your hands.

I lke the idea. These days people are so rushed with everything. I think it would be a great was to have your BoS typed. Afterall the energy is in the doing and the thought, the writing is the recording of what you've done. Besides if you could post some graphics it would be great.

I think we should use technology to our advantage by all means and i have no problem with making a copy of a BOS but it does make the book less personal when you lose the conact you get on the page with the hand written word and i personally don't like the idea of hackers taking any of my work as has happened on you tube to some folk i know.

I have two BOS's right now and one is typed. There is so much information in them that even though I would love to have everything handwritten, it's not realistic with my schedule. The same energy goes into your work, simply through a different source. I liked the idea above about pasting pictures into it, maybe some you've drawn yourself and scanned or some from your favorite books. Have fun with your work and never let someone else's opinions down your enthusiasum or the power of your magical objects, be they typed or not.

As someone who is on his second large volume of his BOS I must say that typing and printing your BOS is just fine. I have done this with both 300 page volumes so far and they work just fine for me. It is your intent that is important not how you copy it down on paper!

I think that you have to do what feels right for you...so long as YOUR energy is put into it. I have carpal tunnel so there is no way I could write a BOS, mine is typed but charged with my energy and I do not feel that it is inferior in anyway because of that.

The most important thing is to do what feels right to you. It isn't important how it is written down, but instead that it is written with thought and intent, and that you put forth your energy into it regardless if you write or type it, and I say that if it works for you, do it! I think that is one of the things that sets us apart from other belief systems is that we are allowed to make our own choices, and there is no "this is the only way", there are so many paths to enlightenment and spirituality. Follow your heart and do what you think and feel is right, and don't let anyone else tell you that there way is the only way. There way is one way, and your way may be another. We each have our own path to follow, and the Goddess is there to guide us on our journey. Life is a series of choices, with consequences both good and bad, and in our belief, those choices are for each one of us to make!
