I am trying to become more active in this site and i would like it if others would become my friends. This would be one of the few times I could talk with others who are like me. It is hard to talk to others in my life about wiccan related things because they just don't understand. I live in a small christian town.
Hey there. I'm Amanda. Small christian, mostly catholic town! Good ole Texas. At any rate, I crazily found out that i work with a Wiccan. Also, I came across a Wiccan store in my town's down town region, when I'd thought nothing of the sort would be found here. Goes to show you that its out there, you just have to be lucky or persistent enough to see it. ;)
I also have a University in my town, so chances of variation in religion are higher than some. And I'm glad they are the Wiccan/pagans that are gregarious and not all dark little high school kids running around in local malls and hanging out in Hot Topic trying to be unique, like every other "goth" punk kid. Oy, we see the worst of them here.
Anyway, nice to meet you, and feel free to drop a line anytime!

MM i very much understand what you are saying...my family is all Catholic and sometimes i really want to come out and talk about Wicca and it Sabbats etc.
You will find lots of us are in the same or similar position and you will find that its easy and feels really good to talk to everyone : )
Welcome to the sight. Like you grew up in a whole regimental religion, but once you begin questioning what you've been told is the 'way' well you know it's time to see what else is out there that makes you a better person...for me Wicca is the way. Hope you don't mind I'm going to add you as a friend. Talk soon.
This can be so hard thinking you are alone

Blessed be
I truely know what you mean. Nobody seems to truly know you do they? It's hard when the whole community is christian and they shun you. I would love to come out and be able to talk to people, but my own family don't even know. They are all devote Catholics and would just snicker or tell me I'm nuts.
Hi Aaron,
I really know what you mean, I currently live in a small, conservative town in upstate New York. I never felt comfortable letting anyone know what my beliefs were, but last year I decided that I twas tired of keeping everything a secret and put a "Proud to be Pagan" bumpersticker on my car. I"ve gotten some strange looks but no real problems. I found this site about 24 hours ago and have already met some very cool people I can share things with that I can't with anyone around here.
Merry Meet Aaron,
I started doing wicca w/ my mom when i was 7 years old. ages 8-14 it was banned from the house do to moving around almost once a year. From 14 up to now my parents became christian and said it's an abomination to their god (jesus christ) . I tried to start a coven in our skewl called W.O.L.F.(Wiccans Of the Life Fathers), but since we lost one of our leaders. I can't hold the coven together by myself, go to work, and skewl. So i postponed it until further notice. (we have small meetings in the mornings sometimes)The leader we lost had all the phone numbers so I have to start all over again. If ur intrested let me know. We can't do much cuz of our age, but we can share some knowlegde of our experiances and help each other until we are a certain age. Then I'll give u the number to a 3rd degree Pristess in Fordsvielle. True the town is christian, but if u look hard enough. the world ur searching for is right in front of u. Trust me!^^. I think I know what i'm talking about. The choice is urs!
Blessed Be,
Princess Moonlight Blackheart
