To your question, you should only invoke a spirit for a good cause, if you really need them. Think about it carefully before you start invoking spirits. Rather invite them into your life and let them help you the way they know best. Praise them, give thanks to them and they will help you with pleasure.

Remember, don't go invoking spirits unless its really necessary.

Hello Blaine,

I just wanted to add a bit to your wonderful discussion. I believe in the case of the work you are looking to do, the focus should be to prepare yourself to receive the Spirit of the Archangel Gabriel rather than an attempt to invoke him. When the Prophet Mohammed first received his visit from Gabriel it was not because he willfully invoked the Spirit. It was because he was chosen as God's messenger. The same will be true with you. Once prepared to receive the messages of the Divine, you will find they are practically unstoppable.

Remember also that the word of God, in what ever form you may experience God (God and Goddess, Spirit, The Archangels, etc.) is in every place you look, every person you meet and every thing you do. Most importantly, if you look within you will find you are more Divine than you are physical experience.

It would also be good to study Sufism as this is the Mystic aspect of Islam. This may help to bring together your Wiccan side and Muslim side with better harmony.
