Energy? Yes. Good and Evil? Nope, I don't believe it. There is no "good" or "evil" just people who manipulate energy in their own way. Good & evil are just man-made conceptions to explain "right and wrong" according to their culture.

I am not sure I can agree with that. I will admit that without good there can be no evil. Without evil there can be no good. Without light, there is no dark. Without dark there is no light. Pagan teachings, especially Wicca, teach about the duality, the bipolar opposites in nature. Light versus dark. Day versus night. Good versus evil. Death versus life. Male versus female. All of these things are embodied in nature. I will say that good and evil are highly subjective though, and our concepts of what is good or evil evolve over time as we evolve.

An example. some would say that killing another human being is evil, no matter the circumstances. They are entitled to that belief. I say that if that human being were a serial rapist, a child molester, and kills people indiscriminately, as well as a mass murderer, then killing that person is a great act of good.

It is similar to Dark versus light magick, or black versus white magick. For instance, in my repetoire of magick, I have a very powerful and potent healing spell. I could use it on my dying mother, who is suffering greatly from bone cancer that has metastesized to her lungs. She only has a few more months at best to live. Those months will be filled with either lucid months of pain, or delirious months of drug induced coma. I could use my healing spell and maybe extend those months to years. Healing is white magick, but that would be using it to an evil end I say. On the other hand, using a death spell, to ease her suffering is dark magick, but in my mind, would be a very humane thing, and therefore good thing to do.

I watched my grandmother suffer for 12 years through alzheimers. When my cat got sick we put her down immediately. Why is it we make our humans suffer for years, but we euthanize our animals to keep them from suffering. To me, this is a great evil.

Good and evil are very real. Don't fool yourself into believing they are not.

but isnt that where balance come to mind. Its the person itself who decides hes good or bad! Thats where the cosmic balance is

Energy by itself is neither good nor evil...its rather neutral...
Energy can be focused for either purpose....the outcome may then be considered good or evil...anyway that would be a bit relative...most things may be considered good/evil by someone and the opposite by someone else...

One precaution when focusing energy would be to finish with the "as it harm none..." phrase...so you make sure no one gets hurt in the process, yet the ultimate goal (if achieved) may be considered "evil" by persons who would rather have you not achieve the goal...

That is what I was trying to say. Energy is not good or evil...what the energy is used for (by man) is good or evil/ right or wrong, but I still say that it depends on your cultural and moral beliefs.

a place of energy and information, the stuff that makes the universe. I must say though, there is good and evil, but there are still plenty of shades in between. these are also just a label, as someone who is pro abortion may think it's a good thing while one who is anti abortion figures just the opposite.

i believe it is a place of energy-good or evil? i agree with crucialprism and jareth.....it is what you make of it. and even if there is good intentions behind it, there might be a negative reaction. the energy is whatever you make it. it will always be there. just tap into it, but you have to to really focus. and remember karma. we must not forget the cosmic check and balances.
