why doesn't the Goddess and God make the earth a paradise...right now?
i have had a life that was equal to a terrifying horror movie. but it didn't just last an hour, it lasted over 18 years. i only recently (one month) started having blessings in my life, when i started to honor the God and Goddess, and become Wiccan. (thanks God!)
but it looks like i'm not out of the woods, yet, because i went jogging last night, and a car of predators tried to shove me in their car and abduct me, and rape and kill me.
i had to run up to a random house, pretend it was my house, (long enough for them to drive a bit farther away), so i could jump into a pile of bushes in front of their house. i had to hide for 2 hours, because the car (they were skilled predators) kept driving back and forth...back and forth...up and down the same street. i was having panic attacks and everything in the bushes. my heart was beating so fast. i thought about knocking on this strange house's door...but it was 3 AM...and i figured that they would be too asleep to answer, and then the car would see me standing there, and come and get me!
so i waited. i prayed. i begged the Goddess and God to be my saviors. i vowed to never go jogging late at night again. in fact, i'm done going away from my house, after dark. it's just too dangerous for me. but it pisses me off!!
cuz we shouldn't have to live in fear! the predators don't fear! they 'll be out every night prowling around! God knows how many people they've killed! and i have to hide, once it gets dark. and it just so happens, that i LOVE BEING OUT AFTER MIDNIGHT, JOGGING, THE MOST! BECAUSE THERE'S NO PEOPLE (USUALLY) OUT, AND IT'S SO PEACEFUL. AND I GET TO LOOK UP AT THE STARS OVERHEAD! and my friends are lame and don't like to walk or exercise much. so i have no one to go with me.
so i do rituals asking God to heal the earth from predators! so why doesn't He and She heal it?
and the police don't even help, cuz they have never taken me seriously or pressed charges against any killer or abductor that harmed me. they simply don't care. they are predators too, i think. so that's why it doesn't bother them.

The Police are not predators and can only act on a complaint if there is credible evidence of an offence.

The reason the Creator didn't( and doesn't) make this a perfect world is there is no such thing and many different ideas as to what that would be.Plus there"s that whole "free will " thingy.
Imagine driving down a road that perfectly strait and flat with no radio or anything on other side to distract you or run into.Boring right? safe but boring.Adversity challenges you and helps you grow(what doesn't kill you makes you stronger)
Now as to your nocturnal problem. Carry a camera phone to call for help and possibly get evidence. Organize a neighborhood watch.Take self defense classes.(They build confidence,Fear attracts predators)You'll meet other people and possibly find a jogging partner.
Do spells for self protection strength and emotional healing.What your asking for is too general and messes with others free will.

My personal belief is that we are given turmoil in order to learn - to become the strongest, best individuals we can be. There are terrible things in this world, and if we can live past them, they are what make us stronger.
And on the topic of personal protection, I have to agree - the minute I'm old enough (I've gone through the conceal & carry class already), I'm buying a small revolver to keep with me where ever I go. I definitely agree with Roxane's reply.
Another thing.. my dad told me about this one. A can of hornet spray has a distance of about 30 feet, (a concentrated spray no less) and hurts worse than mace - and you can get it for about the same price. :)

Utopia will never exist EVER. there is a need for balance, there can't just be good, its impossible. Nature isn't all good, and the sooner we all realise that the better. All we can do is try to live our lives according to what is best for us and the environment. but you can't change people and it is not the way of the gods to strive for good, there are many dark aspects to the Wiccan Goddess and God. Just take this awful experience and turn it into something that makes you stronger and better.

Why not form a "taking back the night" rally to raise awarness to this problem, or the multitude of things others have suggested here. While it might help you on an emotional level, just discussing this problem on an online forum isn't going to resolve it.

Well, I agree with some of what has been said here. The world needs balance - light and dark, good and evil etc to exist and function. When all seems dark for us - and we all experience this, then we have to learn from it, no matter how hard it is.We have to look at our actions too - maybe, if you live in an area where danger is likely to lurk at night - perhaps one should not be out late. Im not saying this is in anyway your fault, and it must have been terrifying for you, but our own actions have consequences and we have to be responible for ourselves.
Living in the UK, I have to say I am against carrying weapons, especially guns. I think violence begets violence. You pull a gun on someone, no matter that they may be threatening you, you will have to be prepared to use it - Im not sure I could to be honest. And if you dont pull the trigger, they may well do! We see this kind of violence in the Uk too - gun and knife crime are on the up every day. What is the answer? I dont know - eduation perhaps.... But I am not an expert.
The God and Goddess have craeted a world that is as perfect as nature itself - but remember - nature gives but it also takes away. We can have no expections of the Gods or of nature - we are simply a part of the whole.

You have just begun on this path. You have a long way to go before you can make such harsh judgements of those around you,..or/and the Lord and Lady. As you will learn,..it is not the Gods job to make us safe, or turn our world into a paradise. It is your responsibilty to look out for yourself and the world around you. Be more careful about what you do and when you do it.Use common sence. This is not a quick fix religion,..and it is a religion. Learn before you place blame....Tracy

I agree... You're still young on the path. First of all u must release yourself from this "god's will" concept... WE ARE THE GODS... There's no creature looking and controlling universe... There's no "Creator"... Existence just... Exists... ^^
Maybe it's the first fact u must put in your mind before calling yourself a Wiccan...

Actually, I'm pretty sure (although obviously not 100%, as I'm not one) that the Wica do not consider themselves deities. Anyone who can consider themself a living deity should invest in some padding and a jacket with really long sleeves, or start dishing out the miracles.
Some of us actually do the 'god's will', and are happy because of it. Show a little respect perhaps.

Like the Greeks used to say... "Know yourself and know the Gods themselves and all life's misteries" (I guess it's the phrase) The Gods are just a personification of the human essence and aspects of Existence...
On Wicca we DO believe we are deities! As we do for everything that existed, exists and may some day exist... The only "Greater Being" in Existence is the the own Existence. And we, as part of it, are as God as it does... It's the belief of Wicca... I'm one of them! I have some study and it's what we are. ^^
