Haha no not garbled at all.
Although it is Cliche, it is for a reason and thats becaue if a person is mean hearted we lose interest pretty quick.
One of the things that seperate us from all the other animals.

I believe that beauty comes from within. A person can be very beautiful but very ugly inside, thereby making their looks fade. But a person can be beautiful inside and not so attractive on the outside ~ we only see the beautiful person inside and they are not ugly to us ~ hope that doesn't sound too garbled - lol

I agree, but if we are talking in an every day situation then the X factor does not always apply.
Primitive instinct also plays a part in what we find appealing in the other sex, foods, plants and general surroundings.

I think that beauty is individual and that its with reason that this is the case.
If eveyone only sought after one kind of beauty then there would be a lot of lonely people in the world.

sometimes we cannot quite explain what it is that we find beautiful about something or someone and so we have named it the "X Factor".

I think that is part of what you were saying.

I do agree that Beauty is reason.
But beauty is also in the eye of the beholder, its whatever you want it to be.
