Welcome to Work in Progress: Group Rules

Please read through all of our pages before posting:

Page Directory

You are welcome to participate in any discussions below. If you have a question about the content of any page, ask and we will try to provide further information.

We have many very knowledgeable people in here to answer any questions you may have. Callisto, Sage, Mint, Ragnell, Micheál, and myself are happy to help when and where we can.

Please note that we don't provide info about any single pagan religion - there is a wide variety out there for you to choose from, we try to cover some of the most well known ones.

Please note that the internet is full of lousy, poorly researched (or not at all) information. Take everything you read out there with a bottle of salt. If you're wondering how good any particular site is, post a link and ask and we'll pick at it and attempt to show you why it's good or bad.

Group Rules:

-No religious bashing (this includes but is not limited to Christianity, Islam, Judaism, etc).

-No Role Playing.

-No Mythical creatures/half-breeds. If you believe yourself to be either, you are considered a role-player. This group is for serious pagans and witches that are here to learn.

-Keep conversations civil. You don't have to like each other, but refrain from name calling. You're an adult, behave as one.

-Site rules apply to this group as well, they are posted on the WT homepage.

-Keep foul language to a minimum.

-No sexual chat. This is not a dating group, take it to PM.

We hope you enjoy your time here. :)

Jacai, you'll have to give some actual details in order for people to know what to help you with.

Welcome, Ruby. :) As Ragnell mentioned, start with our Page Directory (http://www.wiccantogether.com/group/work-in-progress/page/wip-page-...)

It'll offer some solid ground so you can gain some traction. Then we can offer more specific resources/answer clearer questions so you can get off to a strong start. :)

As a start, this group has some Pages that you might find helpful.  If you click on View All on the right of your screen, you'll see a number of articles written on the history of Wicca, what Wicca is, witchcraft, and a number of other topics.  The information in them was written by very experienced WiP members.  Feel free to look through them and come back with questions.

I am new to religion(wiccan) and is wonder what I should do first? Do I do research or read books? I have no idea what to do first.

Now that I might believe

There are all sorts of theories on the resurrection. IMO, the herbal drink is one of the less likely considering the massive injuries JC sustained. Life threatening injuries then a drink to lower vitals to death like status? Not likely to come out of that. To me, one if the more likely possibilities was he had passed out from the torture and was presumed dead, then regained consciousness after being placed in the tomb.

Not so much in our community, though.  Wicca, for example, doesn't have a bible...

Comment by colourofmagick on April 15, 2017 at 4:15pm

that's why I used the word "alledgedly" I don't follow the bible, but, I believe most religions have their own "bible" that they follow....

I guess one would have to believe the bible is true in order to believe that story. Not convinced
