Life's unending cycle

It really annoys me when stupid people try raising MY kids. I went and made five protection charms and put them on my kids, then yesterday I had my sister watch the two oldest while I took my brother in law to see his grandpa in the hospital. I got a letter today from my five year old son, Zackary's teacher. (No not bad) It was asking me to send a letter out to all my friends and family telling them that the kids will be working on learning maps and globes and as part of that learning, to ask those friends and family to send postcards with something interesting or important about the place you live. Ok, since I have finally decided to come out of hiding and practice, I know I need thing, but my mind is booged down with what and where. Any help? What would you suggest I definately get and what to work on? Plus, I already collect stones and crystals. I have always had a strange draw to them, I can feel the magic and energy from them, but I am on a quest for a big 1' crystal sphere, does anyone know where I can find one? And please, list what I should definately get?
