You make perfect sense to me. I asked because very strict vegatarians and raw food vegatarians sometimes get Intestantal pains beacause their diets may not have enough oils in them.
Being that you do eat eggs and have milk, you probably don't have that trouble. Since you have not said that the pains have continued maybe it was just something that happened once. Hope the stay away.
You are correct, most small towns do offer thinga to do,just you have it all the time and then do think much about it.One tends to think that all towns may do the same.Be safe and happy. PS..let me know if you got the letter or if I got the wrong adress. Dave
You mentioned you are a vegatarian. Are you strict or ovo-lacto? The oil (I know the thought may be a little icky -swallowing a tablespoon of oil) might help what ever is causing the pain. The berries and the seeds are the usual irritants because when people them they get a large amount in their system at one time.
If you are a strict veggi or a raw veggi you might want to try the oil to "lubracate' your system until the pains pass.
Sorry to hear about your stomach pain. Are you eating a lot of berries? Many times when you eat a lot of 'seedy berries' (raspberries, strawberries, blackberries) the seeds can get lodged in the wrinkles of your stomach and intestants and can cause that intense pain. Some people also get this pain after eating breads coated in poppy seeds or sesame seeds. The pain usually happens 6 to 10 hours after the meal.
Mint and ginger tea will help with cramping and discomfort but you may also get relife by taking a tablespoon of oil with your meal (olive, flax, or peanut oil works best).
