I guess you could say I am an Eclectic Kitchen Witch. Pretty close in most beliefs and rituals of Gardnarian Wicca, but I don't seem to follow anyone elses path totally. I'm uaually a solitary, I have never been part of a coven. I have spent lots of time in circle with select friends on occasion when I lived in California and was around other people like me. Now there is just me, and a student I never expected to have. My favorite baby cousin has decided she wants to learn the craft. Now that she is 18 I am free to teach her. Goddess willing.
About Me:
I'm a single mom of a beautiful baby boy. I am a proud vetran of the US Air Force. Long, long ago, until I got broken.I live in the backwoods of Virginia in my 100+ year old farm house; that was built by my great-grandfather. Yeah, that's why I don't just sell the place and move back to Cali... where the sun always shines...I now have 4, yes count them... 4 dogs, a cat and a horse (that is 3 yrs old and still not broken to ride, because I am TOO broken to break him..haha.) I have an Associates degree in Accounting... ohh, how exciting. What can I say, my GI bill was running out and they don't have an accredited Holestic Heathcare program in this area. Someday, I will get my HHP. I may be 90 and too old to use it, but someday, I will get it. LOL I'm not planning to get a real job until Garrett starts school, but ya never know, if a good one comes along... Kinda like a man, I'm not actively looking, but if a good one comes along...yeah, like THAT is going to happen.I have family here, and a few good friends, but I really miss my friends and family I left out west. Most of the time it's just me and my boy, and that gets kinda lonely sometimes; but I wouldn't trade this life with him for anything. Unless it would be this life with him AND enough money to spend half our time in San Diego, oh, and the perfect man, and the body I had at 20, and...and... but it would have to always be My boy then the ands.
Favorite Books:
Individual books are too many to list, how about series...Mists of Avalon (they screwed up the movie). Twilight (also screwed up the movie), Xanth and Immortals by Piers Anthony. All of Anne Rice, especially the vampire cronicals and the Witches of Mayfair. Narnia (they couldn't get it all in the film). Tolken is great, but I must admit, I'd rather watch it than read it. Anne McKafery, Mercedes Lackey, and this series (romance novels no less) about the Carpathians (a race like good vamps before they turn evil). Then there are my "Craft" books (and I don't mean Martha Stewart crafts) by different authors.
Favorite Movies:
Underworld, Pirates of the Caribbean, X-Men, Lord of the Rings, Narnia, Harry Potter, Practical Magic, Troy, Princess Bride, Dangerous Beauty, Ever-after, Somewhere in Time, City of Angles. Anything that involves... vamps, warewolves, dragons, faries, magic, the middle ages, or fighting with armor. Some sappy love stories, and all Disney & Pixar animated movies....until my son makes me watch it 20 times in a day...then that one is off the list for at least a week!!!
Favorite Bands:
ALMOST everything. I enjoy everything from AC/DC to Tim McGraw. I don't do rap, and only some techno. But I like Country, New Age, Rock, Classic Rock, even some Classical now and then. It's all a mood thing for me. How I feel depends on what I want to hear. LOVE Evenesance, Enya, Yannie, Nickleback, Matchbox 20, and George Straight. lol
