Cleansing, Banishing, The need to be Wiccan and Origin Stories! A Rant and My thoughts on Some WT posts
I see lots of posts by people looking for spells.Spells to fix this, cleanse that or banish something. Spells to show them the way or which Gods to pray to for this or for that. People scared of some thing haunting them. Posts about some over the top origin story.
I think to myself
"Why can't they just find a mundane way to solve their issue?". Usually the solutions is obvious. Most of the time it seems like people don't like the answers they get. In other…

Farewell To Treetops
I'm more than a little sentimental about trees.
I don't claim to know much about tree names and what they mean in terms of what wood is used for what, i.e., wands, etc. I do know what to make a besom from and that is about it. And I do know that you don't cut branches off of any tree without its consent. I suppose in most cases, when a tree is feeling poorly under its own weight, it may even be grateful to get a trim. But what happened this past week in my own back garden…

Adieu A Demain
And these are the remains of a broken curse...
Glimmering streams of a bonded spirit...
Sworn to be, forever...
Sworn in threaded words bespoke
in selfish acquisition....
The notes I wrote
In songs we spoke,
Were ever of the soul
The black parlance
That stamped our backs,
progressed from times of old
A lost love lived from long ago
It’s you I’ve found at last
It’s you who found me in despair
And…

A Breath Of Cognizance
And beneath the flick'ring, flashing glares
I stood in gasping shock
The light the brought me back to life,
elixir through my thoughts
Though the price t'was paid to change my fate
was anything but kind
This worldly being, broke at the seams,
And nearly lost it's mind
I'll tell you yet another tale
A rousing tale, unearthed
The truth t'was choir'd from the fires,
-Good God! The things I heard!
So listen…

The Devil's Sacrifice
And if the words you parled had a pulse
Would you be more gentle?
Were the things you thought to come to life
Would you stand en guarde to balance scales?
Or would you offer all
To tip the scales you bent?
To bring them back from shattered gold
Your life, the price you spent?
Was there something heavenly
That brought you to this fate?
For everyone knows just where to go
To find the origin of a devil’s heart…
That lovely love…

My Spiritual Journey
My family is mostly Dutch and Polish and so they are mostly Catholic. My father, whom I get my Dutch and Polish parts from was raised in the traditional Catholic sense along with his 3 sisters. It was only natural for him to raise his own children as Catholics. My father is old fashioned and when it comes to religion, he isn't exactly open to other forms of faith and belief. I tend to stay away from that subject and politics…

"And thou who thinkest to seek Her, know thy seeking and yearning shall avail thee not unless thou knowest the Mystery..." The Charge of The Goddess
Amongst Pagans of all kinds a certain perspective permeates the community, admirably so, and I find myself isolated from the rest of my kind by both choice and perspective. We may have much variety within the Wiccan community, yet the lack of the laying down of reasonable unacceptability of certain things is…

Humans have a deep emotional and psychic connection to color. It's ingrained in our psyche. Color has been used to heal our bodies as well as our minds, but it's usage has slipped in and out of favor over the centuries.
So, this week we gaze into the color spectrum. We'll take a look at the long history that color has played in the healing arts from Ancient Egypt right up to today. And we'll also look at some of the suprising ways that we're just now learning about, regarding how…

Respect
I have been trying to figure out why no one seems to have respect for anyone anymore. Its like manners don't matter anymore. People just walk around saying and doing whatever they want without even thinking about the fact that they might be hurting others in the process. Then when you bring up the subject of Witchcraft, its like there is no such thing as respect. Just today I was online and was told by someone that I…

The Biograph Theater-The Death of John Dillinger
The Biograph Theater-The Death of John Dillinger
By Barek Halfhand
Spring in Chicago represents an almost ritualistic awakening from hibernation as the lakeside city is finally freed from the often debilitating grip of Midwestern winter extremes… a drive along Lake Shore Drive on one of these sun bathed, warmer afternoons proves that…
