The Chronicles Of Johnny Shotwell: Page 14/15
I had suspected James was having an affair with a lady who lived a few houses down from us. I found out after we had split up, that indeed he had been having an affair with her but with some of the gay men in Denton. He spent all his free time with this neighbor gal a few

Where there's woman, there's man
Where there's dark, there's light
Where there's day, there's night

I've always felt at home with everything encompassing the magic realm. I have a few memories of when I was really young of sending out my energy to read people, or to stabilize myself in a rough situation. Some would call me a natural, but for those who wouldn't understand--it often lies in the names freak, witch, weirdo, creeper, etc. You think it, you name it, I've been called it. Since I started immersing myself more into Paganism/Wicca, I grew a little more stronger in my beliefs. What no on…

This morning a friend of mine kept badgering me as to why I stopped going to church, and how I needed to come with her to her next church group. I told my friend of 12 years that I was Wiccan and working on training and learning more about it. She decided that I needed to be preached to. I was told how I was going to hell, I needed to repent for my sins, and God is going to curse me and my whole family, etc. So, to her this is what I said:
"
Why
does it both…

"When concern for others' feelings and welfare is missing, our activities tend to become spoiled. Through lack of basic human feeling, religion, politics, economics, and so on can be rendered dirty. Instead of serving humanity, they become agents of its destruction. Therefore, in addition to developing a sense of universal responsibility, we need actually to be responsible people."
I just read this quote from the Dalai Lama, and this is something that I feel is often missing fr

It's always an interesting step when a practitioner takes what they've read from books and really examines it. It's one thing to read all the Wicca 101 books in the world and agree with them, but it's another thing entirely to examine *why* you agree with them, read them critically, and toss out what you disagree with. In examining this religion and its relation to you as a practitioner, you learn more about yourself and where you fit into said religion.
For example, you can

To hopefully save me from insults, critiscm, and BS:
I have been a looney-bird for years. Got hooked on drugs. Did some things I'm not proud of. Ect, ect. People hear that and the fact that I'm a teenage mom-to-be. Guess what? Not everyone's story is the same. I wanted this baby. This is the happiest in my life I have ever been. I don't drink, smoke, hurt myself, anything of the sort anymore. I've matured so much in less than a year. A lot of my old ways of thinking and behaving have di…

Last night was the most incredible night. I actually felt like one with Mother Nature and the Universe. It was rejuvenating and so serene. I felt like there were no worries. I went for a walk with my husband and our friend out in the woods. That was a cool adventure. We stopped on the side of the dirt path so we could watch a train go by. Then we came across this bridge that looked dangerous, but we still walked across and luckily it was safe. It was an adrenaline rush and it's been awhile since…

Are all First Nations people Shamans?
If there's one thing that tips me off to a person who was either misled or has a misinterpretation of Native Spirituality, it is a person who says their First Nations lineage make them a Shaman. Having First Nations lineage does not make you a Shaman anymore than being Irish makes you born-Druid. You learn your beliefs like anyone and you are trained in the art.
First off, let's discuss the term “Shaman.” The term itself is derived from a Russian word and…

My interest since the past couple of years has been in tarot cards, astrology, occult knowledge and practices.
I am not expecting others to believe or view my interests the way I do. Just reading this article from the start
till the end, will make me thankful to my reader for his effort. The tarot cards comprise of 78 cards; out of which
22 form the Major arcane and 56 form the minor arcane. Each card is relevant and integral in its own way. Today,

Let me start by saying that terminology in Wicca is the most confusing part of this religion. I'm not new to the religion but, even if one has been Pagan or Wiccan for years, some terms may still elude one.
For example, when I try to explain Paganism to people, I make the *only* possible comparison one can make of our religion to Christianity. That is, that Paganism is a religious umbrella term like Christianity with numerous branches under it. That just makes sense to most people and I would t…

Yesterday was a pretty big day emotions wise, and when i was done posting and trying to talk to people in the chat room, I went and made spicy steak (3 steaks in fact), with heinz mayo, cheese and 2 slices of bread. I gorged myself. I then finished 3/4 tub of caramel/chocolatey ice cream.
Then this morning i made and ate 12 yorkshire puddings, and a plate of chips. I am sickened and disgusted with my frenzied over eating.
Alot of emotions bobbed to the surface yesterday,

Despite my protests that i couldn't handle having her in my life,
