LETS GET CRAFTY ....A WITCHS WREATH

Every wreath a witch makes should be prepared with a wise eye towards the materials she uses ,and the intent she pours into it.Each ingredient will be another layer that brings complexity and depth to her spell.Every knot she ties, each blossom, herb or stone she adds will strengthen her spell. The end result will honour her diety, her mother earth and will radiate her intent outward to the universe. The witchs wreath I've featured is entirely handmade by me ,the blossoms and herbs were grown in my gardens, and were harvested under this years Mabon moon ,the Foxgrape vine was harvested from my land and was put out on my altar for a month before it was made into a wreath.

The Fox Grape Wreath is adorned with Mullien ,Lavender,Marjoram,Basil ,Mugwort,Lunaria ,Golden Rod ,Gypsophillia and Orange Peel.
In the center of the petacle is a Copper wrapped slice of Mica ,at each point of the petacle are over 50 carats of Amythest and Citrine points ,.This is a powerful ward of protection ,prosperity and good health. This wreath can be purchased at http://rivahhippies.com .

For those of you who want to make one of their own the details on materals used are listed below with all their witchy properties.

Stones

Amythest
Cool and relaxing, amethyst is a stone of psychic power. This form of quartz helps promote meditation, peace, tranquility and oneness with your spiritual goals. It enhances and strengthens the powers of the witch and helps attune with the higher self, dispelling fears, heightening intuition and helping to embrace your own intuitive wisdom.
Amethyst is a "negative ion", which attracts poisonous "positive ions" to it, thus clearing the air and helping to make it more breathable. Amethyst is also said to be a stone of sobriety, and can help the bearer become free of addictive tendencies

Citrine
A stone of manifestation, Citrine brings our thoughts into being on the physical plane, helping us to realize our dreams. It is especially useful for desires involving happiness, wealth, success and communication. Helping to balance the solar plexus chakra, it brings clarity to the difference between the needs of ego and our divine, higher Will, and work to fill your life with joy.

Mica
The soft, shiny and reflective layers that make up Mica reflect the many layers of consciousness present within life. These layers are voluminous and ever-changing such as: victim consciousness, blame, inhumanity, ego, forgiveness, growth, joy, nature, fashions, desire, creation and love which all co-exist.

HERBS

Fox Grape
The Vine is sacred to Wicca and Witchcraft, and of old was revered by our ancestors. According to the Celtic Tree calendar the Vine represents the tenth month of the year (2nd Sept – 29th Sept), which includes the celebration of “Mabon” - the Autumn Equinox on the 22nd Sept.It symbolizes the blood of the Goddess as a life giving essence.

Mullein is wonderful as a purification and protection agent.
It is used to keep wild animals away. It also instills courage. mullein is regarded as the most potent safeguard against evil spirits and magic, and is hung over doors, in windows. It is also used to banish demons and negativity.

Gypsophila elegans or Babies Breath
I used this to reenforce water and garden magick ,and to attract the Fae to the garden

Loved it, such a fusion of cultures. Shows respect and understanding of the history and origins of the herbs you have used.

That is absolutely lovely! I would love to make something like that. I have made wreaths before, and dream catchers. Your weaving inside your wreath, reminds me of how I weaved the dream catchers. This gives me some wonderful ideas. Hopefully soon, I will be able to use my own harvested items, to be able to craft something similar. Thanks so much for sharing!
