My name is Kitiara, I'm fourteen, I live in a tiny, quiet town in Pennsylvania, I don't have a lot of friends (mostly my own doing... I like my quiet, lol), and if I didn't have music I would probably go insane.
I was raised with a weird mix of near-atheism (Dad), Pentacostal Christianity (Mom's extended family), and Catholicism (Mom, every Catholic school I've ever been in until I stopped attending them). How I wound up at Paganism is kind of a mystery. One day I found out about it and it felt right. And when I look back at how I behaved when I was little, it actually makes sense. I was a very Pagan child, no matter how much "JESUS LOVES YOU!" was beat into my skull.
I think I've always been a Witch at heart. And not just because of the fact that when I was little, I looked like an itty bitty Hermione Granger, lol. I was always concocting weird things in the kitchen (much to my parents' horror, since this wasted a lot of perfectly good food), and I left offerings of blades of grass and berries out for the faeries. I "told fortunes" with my set of Clow Cards (any Cardcaptors fans around?), and I've been told that I would look out my bedroom window and say that I was watching angels that no one else could see. I never really thought much about all of this until now, but it does seem to make perfect sense after learning what I have about being a Witch.
I know a lot of people find out that I'm a Witch and roll their eyes because of my age. Since I'm fourteen, I must just be doing this to make people mad, to get attention, to be "dark and spooky". But I'm really not. All I want is for people to not look at that stupid number anymore and see what I have to say, first and foremost. I'm not exactly your everyday teenager, you know.
I tend to obsess over goofy little things, such as... oh, I don't know, bands? I know a lot of useless crap about bands. *nods* So if you're ever curious about how tall Gerard Way is or what Ville Valo's name means... you know who to ask. I also used to obsess over Harry Potter, and I still know quite a lot of useless crap about THAT as well. I mean, you're looking at a person who actually DID THE MATH to find out what year the books took place in, okay? (The 90s, if you're wondering. The actual years coincide with the school years, meaning Year One was 1991, Year Two was 1992, and so on... =P) YAY POINTLESS TRIVIA!

- Harry Potters 1-7, particularly Order of the Phoenix and Deathly Hallows. They pretty much won epically.
All the ORIGINAL Nancy Drews. Even though the writing is now what we would consider sort of crappy (they WERE written primarily from the 30s to the 60s), those books are made of happy.
Series of Unfortunate Events. Unfortunate, a word which here means Kitiara never actually read ALL of these books, so she's really bummed out because of lack of sarcasm and dark wit. Someone ship her all the books in this series, please and thank you.
Generally speaking, I'm inclined to think that Holly Black is God. READ HER BOOKS. NOW.
R.L Stine is my hero for writing the Fear Street series.
I'm more a fan fiction reader these days though. Books I like are hard to find. D=

Thank you so much for the animal medditation and ill be sure to tell you my results, I think we should be friends, i read your profile info and we have so much in common: I am 14 as well and no one takes me seriously as a practicing eclectic wiccan.My mom is soul searching and my father couldnt care less, but my older sister is against wiccans and i share a room with her so its very hard to express myself,Its even harder having catholic friends and going to a catholic school, my mom used to ship me off to church every sunday in hopes that i would learn the values of Christianity, but i never really found any satisfaction in that, then i came across a book by Scott Cunningham and read and re-read it basically every day, i was so intrigued, it was what i had been looking for and so, i fell in love with the Goddess and practiced magick in the light of the full moon.
i live in a SMALL (very, very small) town in Ontario so i dont know any wiccans my age, their all hung up on dances and American idol, but ,as you said about yourself, i am not like them.
Also, My iPods are my life i love all types of music and cant stop downloading!! I am also one to obsess about absolutly everything i know all there is to all of my tv shows and fav bands and books (espessially Harry Potter,and your right, Order and Hallows were the best)
